Meet the speakers

Laura Martin

Durrington Research School

Laura Martin is Deputy Leader at the South Downs Teacher Training Programme. Laura has worked in primary education in Brighton and Hove as a Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for teaching and learning. She has been teaching for 17 years, with particular focus on mathematics and teacher development.

Chris Runeckles

Durrington Research School

Chris Runeckles is the author of Making Every History Lesson Count. Director of Durrington Research School, Assistant Headteacher and a history teacher at Durrington High School with responsibility for teaching and learning.

Ben Kingston-Hughes

Managing Director of Inspired Children

Ben Kingston-Hughes is an international keynote speaker, author and multi award-winning trainer. He is also the Managing Director of Inspired Children and has worked with vulnerable children across the UK for over 30 years.

Dave Kirtlan

Accredited Apple Distinguished Educator

David Kirtlan is a teacher with over 20 years classroom teaching, leadership and management experience. Working with schools, colleges and universities, his training has enabled institutions to embed digital learning, through organisational change and CPD, and individual coaching and mentoring. David was asked by Apple to become one of the UKs first Apple Distinguished Educators. David advised the programme, and helped to shape what the programme has become today.
